'Twas the Week Before Christmas ...

... and all through the pantry volunteers were busy setting up and distributing food to the many neighborhood people in need who were here.  Along with our regular volunteers we were blessed with helpers from Starwood Hotel Call Center of Fall River and folks from Fallon Health Group. While those in line outside waited patiently to enter the pantry Father Murphy, as he frequently does, walked up and down Nye Street to speak with them.

Gonsalves Tae Kwon Do School Donation

Gonsalves Tae Kwon Do School is a martial arts school in Acushnet that each year holds a food drive for the St. Anthony's Food Pantry. Aimee Racine whose family owns the school and who are parishioners at St. Anthony's says that this is done as part of their effort to "emphasize to our students the importance of helping to better our community". Aimee  also notes that they "had about 30 of our students and instructors participate in the food drive this year" and that they "collected and donated over 2,200 food items" that have been dropped off at the church.

Pictured above are Kevin Zeppenfeld, Ricky Andre, Brian Mailloux, Ed Ross, Ed Ross III, EJ Ross, Rachel Ross, Kyle Racine, and Aimee Racine. Not pictured are Terry Ross and Andrew Ross.

Thank you to all at the Gonsalves Tae Kwon Do School for your hard work and generosity helping to take care of your community! And thank you Joel!
